IMPORTANT MESSAGING - timeline/dates

As we approach one of the critical stages for the  development of Communities of Practice (CofP)  -- we would like to highlight a number important information points and timelines.

  • October 14th is the deadline for ALL staff to be registered in a Community of Practice.  Any exceptions will require approval by Manny Ferreirinha, Director, Organizational Learning.
  • We would like to iterate that a good deal of collaboration is required prior to November 14th, the first  day the various Communities of Practice come together.  Therefore, out of professional respect and courtesy to colleagues -- it is critical that all members of Rocky View Schools join a particular Community of  Practice .  Individuals cannot join a community on November 14th without first having officially registered.  Furthermore, in order to ensure that the various communities are viable, all RV staff must first be registered.
  •  Over the next week we will be reviewing each created community to ensure viability.  Should any CofP not meet the criteria , particularly with respect  to size of membership of fewer than 2 people, we will be contacting the creator to advise that their CofP will not proceed and they, in turn, will be requested to register to join another Community. Registration will be re-opened at this point only for those individuals contacted.
